One in 3 grew out of the silence around abortion. Out of the longing for art that rejects the shame and stigma surrounding abortion and represents the everyday stories of women, some of them heartbreaking, infuriating, frustrating, even hilarious. 

This play explores the experiences of a diverse group of women who make the choice to have an abortion. It reveals the courage, compassion, anger, love, grief, relief, defiance, and ambivalence of individual women facing a decision others often want to make for them, but only they can make for themselves.

One in 3 is a play about the reality, not the politics.
